A memorial service for Wyburn Wayne Martin, 69, a Gardnerville resident for the past 10 years, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Chapel of Carson Valley with Dan Steen officiating.
He died May 21, 2000, in Washoe County. He was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Los Angeles, to Wyburn James and Anastasia Zechiel Martin.
He married Katherine Steiner in Quartzsite, Ariz.
Before moving to Gardnerville, He lived in Los Angeles.
Mr. Martin was owner of a glass company. He was a member of Soar Minden and the American Soaring Association. He loved to snow ski and soar in gliders.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife of 49 years, Katherine of Gardnerville; son, James of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; daughters, Debra Gariador of Chino, Calif. and Mary K. Dvorak, of Running Springs, Calif.; sisters, Marilyn Neeley and JoAnn Martin, both of Seattle, Wash.; six grandsons and two granddaughters.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary, Minden, is in charge of arrangements.
