LAS VEGAS - (AP) - Confessed child killer Jeremy Strohmeyer apparently will continue his battle to get out of prison.
District Court Judge Joseph Bonaventure last month rejected Strohmeyer's request for a new trial. Strohmeyer contended he was coerced into confessing that he raped and murdered 7-year-old Sherrice Iverson in a Primm, Nev. casino in May 1997.
Las Vegas attorney Carmine Colucci, who represents Strohmeyer, has filed a notice of intent to appeal the judge's decision.
Bonaventure ruled that Strohmeyer, who is serving a life sentence, was not entitled to a new trial.
