Trophy trout planted in Alpine County

Bob Anderson, executive director for the Alpine County Chamber of Commerce, has announced that the chamber will be stocking a special plant of 1,000 pounds of trophy rainbow trout this weekend.

Those rainbow trout will weigh 1-6 pounds each.

There will be 500 pounds planted in each of the West and East Forks of the Carson River in that county.

He said that the fish will be planted from the various bridges.
