Saturday is the opening day of the goose hunting season in the state of Nevada.
GOOSE (Canada and White-Fronted): Open in all counties except Clark and Lincoln. This season will close on Jan. 22.
Daily limit of 3 with a possession limit of 6.
Non-toxic shot is required in shotgun shells. Shotguns must be plugged to limit overall shot shell capacity to only three shells.
The Clark and Lincoln Counties season runs Nov. 20 through Jan. 22. Daily limit of 2 and a possession limit of 4.

Note: Ruby Valley within Elko and White Pine Counties, White River Valley of Nye County and Pahranagat Valley of Lincoln County are all closed to hunting for snow and Ross' geese.
