SOUTH GATE, Calif. - A nose wheel fell off an American Airlines Boeing 757 and plunged into a shopping center during approach to Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday. No one was injured.
The right nose wheel fell near Madison Avenue and Firestone Boulevard in the city east of the airport, said Diana Sanchez, a spokeswoman for Los Angeles World Airports.
Flight 2425 from Dallas-Fort Worth, landed safely, Sanchez said.
