Services were 2 p.m. Thursday for Richard E. Pyle Jr., 63, a Carson City resident for 38 years. Services were conducted at Capital Christian Center, Snyder at Edmonds, in Carson City.
Born Sept. 20, 1938 to Richard Earl Sr. and Jean Stanton Pyle, he moved to Carson City in 1963 from Cypress, Calif.
Mr. Pyle was a coating specialist in the aerospace industry and worked for Chromalloy Nevada.
He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Pyle was a member of Capital Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1985 and son, Vincent, who died in 2000.
Mr. Pyle is survived by wife Ida of Carson City; sons Darnell of Dayton, Richard R. and Sean E., both of Harrisburg, Penn.; daughters Tara Haines of Harrisburg and Ginger Braxton of Mexico City, Mexico; father Richard E. of Harrisburg; a sister Ann Hilton of Philadelphia, Penn.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mr. Pyle will be buried in Harrisburg, Pa. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
