Missing girl turns up as runaway

Tamara Lynn Walters, 14, who disappeared from in front of the Frontier Motel on June 15, was found by Lyon County Sheriff's deputies a month later, said Chief Deputy Scott Burau, of the Carson City Sheriff's Department.

There has been no indication from Tamara she was taken against her will and no charges have been filed against the man with whom she was allegedly last seen, he said.

Burau said Tamara is considered a runaway and was taken to the juvenile transported to the Carson City Juvenile Detention Center.

Tamara's mother, Phyllis Joyce Adamson, said she would like to thank the community for stepping in and helping find her daughter.
