The Carson City Boxing Club hosted an invitational amateur tournament Saturday at the Nevada National Guard Armory and six local fighters participated on the 12-bout card.
All 12 bouts were decided by decision.
In the main event, CCBC fighter Sergio Orantes won over Theron Delorean of the Reno Ironworks Gym in an action-packed fight.
Other local winners were Everado Pacheco of the CCBC over Carlos Rangel of Arce Boxing of Reno. Jose Elizondo of Bruno's Boxing Club of Carson City won over Paul Radcliff of the Reno Jets, Alex Tenocelo (CCBC) over Mark Medina, Alvin Robinson of Rite Of Passage won over Elijah Munguray (CCBC) and Rembert Salguero of the Reno Jets won over Lee Loe of the CCBC.
The fight card, sanctioned by USA Boxing of Nevada, drew more than 230 fans to the afternoon show.
All winners received trophies and runner ups received plaques. Proceeds from the card went to benefit the CCBC equipment fund.
