Eugene "Geno" Todarello, 78, died July 25, 2001 at Veterans Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1923 to Rocco and Mary Allaruzzi Todarello in Lorain, Ohio .
Mr. Todarello married Kathleen Miller May 17, 1953 in Del Mar, Calif. He was a 25-year Carson City resident after moving from Oceanside, Calif.
Mr. Todarello worked as a food serviceman at various military bases and retired after many years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a cook and baker aboard the U.S.S. Salem and U.S.S. New Mexico.
He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, of Carson City; his son William and daughter-in-law Debbie Todarello, of Silver Springs; daughter Rose "Rusty" Stone, of Carson City; and one grandson.
Services will be held at a later date.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory of Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
