Obituary: Dale A. Smith

Dale A. Smith, 79, a Carson City resident for the past year, died Nov. 5, 2001, in Carson City. He was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Star Prairie, Wis., to Manford and Anna Bergseng Smith.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Gerber, Calif.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Moose Lodge for more than 20 years and Operating Engineers Local 3 in Reno.

Among survivors are his sons Frank Wernett, Brett Wernett and Manford all of Carson City, Lyle of Kenosha, Wis., Eugene of Carson City and James of Dallas, Texas; sister Beatrice Walby of Luck, Wis.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial will be in Tehama, Calif.
