Obituary -- Beverly A. Miller

A funeral for Beverly A. Miller, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Miller died Oct. 18, 2001, at her home. She was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Ventura, Calif., to Lester and Lula Goss Cox.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Concord, Calif.

Mrs. Miller was the office manager for a hospital. She was a past member of OES and Job's Daughters Beth El No. 92 in Coalinga, Calif., and had been the Honored Queen. She was very active at the Carson City Senior Center where she was in charge of the monthly tours and on the dance committee. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, dancing, crafts and was an amateur photographer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carson City.

Among her survivors are her husband Don of Carson City; sons David Gantt of Bozeman, Mont., Bill Gantt of Napa, Calif., and Dan Miller of Canton, Ga., and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
