Gladys Pearl Cadwallader died at her home in Dayton on Saturday, Sept. 1. She was 95.
She was born July 16, 1906 in Spearfish, S.D. to Henry Gulick and Minnie Streeter. She moved to Dayton 64 years ago from Belle Fourche, S.D.
A past member of the Dayton Fire Belles, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and working in her garden.
Cadwallader, a homemaker, was married to Vern, who died in 1974. She is survived by daughters May Walmsley, Margaret Clarke and son, Vern Cadwallader, all of Dayton, and daughters Juanita Hoffert of Carson City and Rosanna Maker of Sparks. She has 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one, great-great grandchild.
Her daughter, Alice Slater, died in 1997.
A memorial service is scheduled Thursday at 1 p.m. at Fitzhenry's Chapel of Faith in Carson City. She will be buried at the Chapel on the Hill Dayton Cemetery at a later date.
