Here's what's happening in the Nevada hunting world in the near future:


-- Sept. 7 - Closing day of the archery antlered mule deer hunting season for all open management areas, with the exception of Nos. 081, 201, 202 and 204-206.


-- Sept. 8 - Opening day of the "any legal weapon" California bighorn sheep hunting season for management area No. 051-Late. This season will close on Sept. 30.


-- Sept. 8 - Opening day of the muzzleloader, antlered, mule deer hunting season for most management areas. This season will close on Sept. 23.


-- Sept. 8 - Opening day of the archery antlered elk hunting season for management area No. 161-164-Late. This season will close on Sept. 28.


-- Sept. 9 - Closing day of the "any legal weapon" pronghorn antelope hunting season for management area Nos. 078, 101-108, 111-115, 121, 131, 145, 221-223, 231 and 241.


-- Sept. 9 - Closing day of the archery antlered elk hunting season for management area No. 161-164-Early.
