FALLON - A Texas man was killed when a pickup truck ran over him after he and another man left it running by the side of the road.
Limon Ebarado Torres, 39, of Denton, Texas, was killed 6 p.m. Wednesday about one mile east of Fallon on Highway 50.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol trooper J. Troy Lindley, Torres and another man stopped on the paved shoulder to repair a road construction sign.
Both men left the 1999 GMC pickup running.
The pickup rolled forward and ran over Torres, who had been the passenger.
Torres was taken to Churchill Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The pickup is owned by Bayport Equipment Co. of Denton.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the highway patrol.
