The Brewery Arts Center's ninth annual Beer Tasting and Auction, celebrating brewing in Nevada, will be on Friday.
Showcasing the restored Carson Brewing Co. building, the event is the major fund-raiser for the Brewery Arts Center and underwrites the arts center's day-to-day operations.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with unlimited tasting of specialty beers and microbrews, nonalcoholic beverages and fabulous food to compliment your beer palate, such as sausages, knockwurst, hot dogs, sauerkraut and pretzels. There will be both live and silent auctions with Col. Pete Cerquitella, of Arundel Auctions, music and exhibits.
Auction items include a sailboat, shopping sprees, golf and vacation packages, a hot air balloon ride, hydraulic dump trailer, gift certificates, dinner packages, salon and spa certificates and more. There will also be a door prize consisting of a six-pack of beer from every brewery represented at the beer tasting.
Tickets are $18, and the ticket admission includes unlimited beer tasting, wine and nonalcoholic beverages, a souvenir tasting glass and food.
Last year's event sold out, so reserve tickets now. Tickets can be purchased at the Brewery Arts Center at 449 W. King St. or call the Brewery Arts Center at 883-1976. Tickets will be available at the door, pending availability.
