Despite what has happened this week, it will be business as usual for Nevada high school football teams.
But there are schedule changes that will affect the Carson High football program later in the season.
All Nevada high school football games will be played this Friday and Saturday. Games involving Carson Country teams this weekend will be Carson at Hug; Galena at Douglas; Dayton at Lowry; and Manogue at Yerington. All of those games will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
In addition, Fernley will play at Rite of Passage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Next week is Homecoming for Carson High and the schedule for football games has been changed. The scheduled time for the freshmen football game between Reno and Carson at CHS to be played on Thursday, Sept. 20 has been changed from 5 to 4 p.m.
The junior varsity game scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 will be played at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. The time of the varsity game to be played on Friday, Sept. 21 has been changed from 7:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The schedule has also been changed for the Carson-Douglas football games to be played at CHS due to Nevada Day activities. The freshmen game scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25 will be played at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.
The JV game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 will be played at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25. The varsity game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 will be played at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
