Stateline woman killed in crash

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE - A 27-year-old Stateline woman was killed in a three-car accident on Kingsbury Grade after another driver ran a stop light, slamming into her car.

Mariah Davenport was pronounced dead Wednesday at Highway 50 West and Kingsbury Grade.

According to Highway Patrol Trooper Patrick McGill, a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Bernard Schnipper of Glendale, Calif., was traveling west on Kingsbury Grade when he allegedly ran a traffic light at the intersection.

Schnipper's vehicle hit the left side of Davenport's, knocking her vehicle into a grass field.

Schnipper's car continued west, crossing into the path of 53-year-old Darryl Wayne Tweten.

Schnipper and his wife, Barbara Schnipper, 66, sustained multiple injuries and were taken to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, where Barbara Schnipper was listed in stable condition. Bernard Schnipper's condition was not known
