Information on hunting world

Here's what's happening in the Nevada hunting world in the near future:

-- Sept. 22 - Opening day of the 2001, Nevada sage grouse (sagehen) hunting season in Unit No. 033 of Washoe and Humboldt Counties. This season will close on Sept. 23. This hunt is for special tag holders only.

-- Sept. 23 - Closing day of the muzzleloader, antlered, mule deer hunting season for most management areas.

-- Sept. 23 - Closing day of the 2001, Nevada sage grouse (sagehen) hunting season in Unit No. 033 of Washoe and Humboldt Counties.

-- Sept. 28 - Closing day of the archery antlered elk hunting season for management area No. 161-164-Late.

-- Sept. 29 - Opening day of the "any legal weapon" antlered elk hunting season for management area Nos. 161-164-Early. This season will close on Oct. 5.
