Even though the Carson High girls soccer team is without three starters, the Senators are still maintaining a high level of play.
Carson earned a hard fought 5-1 win over North Valleys on Saturday to improve to 8-0.
Erin Stieber had two goals and an assist, Ali Bannister scored twice and Emily Maier scored once for Carson.
"North Valleys played us a real good game," Carson coach Mike Popp said. "They've got a lot of potential.
"Considering our injuries, we're still playing pretty well. We moved the ball real well around the field."
Popp continued to praise the play of the bench, including Katelyn Bessette, who has filled in at a starting role. He also said that Katie Kotter and Stieber continue to dominate at midfield.
"They're playing really well with each other," Popp said. "They're really strong."
In addition, Popp praised the defensive play of Sarah Field and Allison Davis.
