The Galena volleyball team fell in its showdown between the top two teams in the High Desert League when it lost at Fallon 9-15, 8-15, 9-15 on Saturday.
Joanna Hixon led the attack for Galena with 14 kills while Carly Kolesar added eight kills, Whitney Dibble had four kills and Chelsea Applebaum had two kills.
Dibble had seven blocks while Lauren Wallace had five blocks, Appelbaum had three blocks and Hixon had two blocks. Dibble led the back row as well with 12 digs. Hixon had 10 digs, Wallace had seven digs and Stacey Scheiberl had five digs.
In serving, Teresa Miller served for six points, Hixon served for six points and Kolesar and Scheiberl each served for an ace. Wallace set up the attack with 20 assists.
