Tonight will be "Merk Human Scholarship Night" when the Carson Senators host the Wooster Colts for a double header.
The two teams, now locked in a second-place tie in the Sierra League race, begin the first game at 5 p.m. at Ron McNutt Field. The second game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start.
Proceeds from the concessions, barbecue and a 50-50 raffle will go toward the newly established Merk Human Scholarship, named in honor of Carson High's long-time fan who passed away in December. The scholarship will be presented to a Carson senior at the team's final regular season home game against Reno on May 2.
