Carson City's Lynda Upton finished in third place in the U.S. Challenge Professional Golf Tour's Falcon Dunes Golf Classic at Falcon Dunes Golf Club in Arizona after Thursday's final round.
Upton collected $300 for taking third. She finished with a three-round total of 6-over-par 219 after firing a 1-over 72 on Thursday.
Toronto's Fareen Samji won the tournament and $900 after finishing with a 2-under 211 total. Former LPGA player Denise Philbrick of Scottsdale, Ariz. took second with a 212.
Upton fired a 3-over-par 74 on Wednesday for a two-day total of 5-over 147 and was tied for third after the second round.
Upton was also tied for third after shooting a first round 73.
