A funeral for Jasper George Ellis, 73, a Wilder, Idaho, resident for the past two years, will be at 1 p.m. today at Wesleyan Good Shepherd Church.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m.-noon at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Ellis died April 18, 2002 in Boise, Idaho. He was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Jackson, Wis., to Jasper LeRoy and Iva Shaw Ellis.
Before moving to Wilder, he lived in Carson City.
Mr. Ellis retired as a Church of God ordained minister in Cleveland, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth in 1963, one brother, one sister and five grandchildren.
Among his survivors are his wife Virginia of Carson City; sons Tim of Carson City, Steve of Gridley, Calif., John of Wilder, Robert of Sacramento, Doug of Anchorage, Alaska and Jim of Colterville, Calif.; daughters Darlene Boots of Red Bluff, Calif., Connie Holly of Colterville, Becky Ingwerson of Chester, Calif., Myrna Hagler of Ripon, Calif., Karen Rash of Palermo, Calif., Gain Poindexter of Manteca, Calif., Julie Kunter of Angels Camp, Calif., Carol Heath of Valley Springs, Calif., Sherril Roderick of Oroville, Calif., Paula Shuppard of Manteca, Calif. and Jamie Garret of Fresno, Calif.; sister Beverly of Sacramento, Calif. and Patricia Grogen of Grass Valley, Calif.; 50 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
