The following people were sentenced in Carson City District Court:

-- Paul Michael Randall, 21, from Mound House, was sentenced to 12-24 months in prison in lieu of five years probation. He must complete a Salvation Army program for drug offenders and pay restitution in the amount of $2,624.73. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 17.

-- Jill Jeter, from Carson City, was found guilty by a jury of five counts of felony embezzlement. She was sentenced April 15 to 12-30 months in prison on Count 1. On Counts 2 through 5, she received a suspended sentence of 12 to 36 months and must complete five years probation at the expiration of the prison sentence.

-- Lori Jean Barham, 39, of Reno, was sentenced April 16 to three years probation for felony forgery. She must also complete 40 hours community service.

-- James Wiley Lee, 38, of Carson City, was sentenced April 16 to 12 to 30 months in prison in lieu of five years probation for felony check forgery. He must also pay restitution in the amount of $1,658.20.

-- Brian Martin Malone, 20, of Carson City, was sentenced April 16 to 46 months in prison in lieu of five years probation for felony grand larceny and possession of a controlled substance.

-- Joshua Terry Kent Stephens, 19, of Carson City, was sentenced April 16 to 12 to 30 months in prison in lieu of five years probation for felony theft.

-- Renee Venderschuur, 44, of Cool, Calif., received April 8 a suspended 12-30 month prison sentence for possession of a controlled substance.

Vanderschuur will serve her sentence concurrently with one she is serving at Northern Nevada Correctional Center on other charges. She was arrested Dec. 31, 2000.

-- Marie Lousie Reasoner, 26, of Carson City received April 2 a suspended 12-32 month prison sentence for felony embezzlement.

She was ordered to pay $460.04 restitution to take parenting classes and participate in drug court.
