A graveside service for Samuel Eugene Pilcher, 68, a Sierra Vista, Ariz. resident for the past three years, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Carson Gardens.
Mr. Pilcher died Aug. 15, 2002, at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Yuma, Ariz., to Samuel and Mary Holt Pilcher.
Before moving to Sierra Vista, he lived in Dayton for 10 years.
Mr. Pilcher was retired. He was the owner-operator of a furniture store in Sierra Vista.
His parents and brother Gary Nichols preceded him in death.
Among his survivors are his companion Bev Eads of Fernley; children Richard Pilcher of Fontana, Calif., Sheryl Fish of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and Charlie Pilcher of Sierra Vista; sister-in-law Vel Nichols of Carson City; brothers Gerald Nichols of Ontario, Calif. and Melvyn Nichols of Eureka, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
