A memorial service for Frances Marian Atkison, 75, a Carson City resident for the past 31 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1331 McKay Drive.
Mrs. Atkison died Aug. 22, 2002, at her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Chico, Calif., to Ernest and Sarah Pickler Perry.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Lake City, Calif.
Mrs. Atkison was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hunting for arrowheads in Lake City. She used these arrowheads in making jewelry. She was an active member of the LDS Church First Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore in 1993 in Carson City.
Among her survivors are her sons Dennis of Burbank, Calif. and Ernest of Lynwood, Wash.; daughter Vivian Pappas of Reno; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Fitzhenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
