120 YEARS AGO

Other day some of the boys concluded they would get a picture of the jail taken with the chain gang grouped in front. Just as Marston got his machine leveled, several leading citizens slid into the focus. When the pictures are mounted and ready for sale, it will be entitled, "Carson jail and group of prisoners."

100 YEARS AGO

Son of Fred Neddenreip, of Gardnerville, accidentally shot himself Sunday while hunting at Mud Lake. He was taken to California for treatment.

70 YEARS AGO

Kenneth Paul Raycraft, one of the well known young men of Carson, was found dead at his home. He was 28 and had been working on a forest service reserve job. He is survived by his mother and four brothers; one, Hubert, recently elected our assemblyman and three out of state.

50 YEARS AGO

President Bill Jones receives the charter for Carson Exchange Club, for Salt Lake City Exchange Club. Phil Roventini was toastmaster.

20 YEARS AGO

Carson Nugget $5 million expansion special edition, revived a Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg editorial in the Territorial Enterprise in 1954 and was reprinted here. "Some foreigners from far-off Idaho, and you'd think it was Upper Assam to hear tell it...have put the town back on the financial and economic map."

10 YEARS AGO

Byron Stetler, 88, Carson resident, 88 years, passes. Among many honors he was a member of Carson Rotary and is listed in "Who's Who," awarded Chief State School Officers Award. Among survivors Louise, also a retired commander in U.S. Navy.
