Galena High graduate Julie Hinton was among the winners for the University of Nevada women's track team on Saturday at the Wolf Pack Invitational.
Hinton won the 800-meter run in two minutes, 13.90 seconds. As a team, Nevada placed second with 37 points behind California's 62.5.
Among other local athletes who competed in the meet were Carson High's Chandleer Menteer and Galena's Janine Bodo. Menteer placed 11th in the weight throw (37 feet, 11 1/2 inches) and Bodo took 13th in the weight throw (44-3 1/2).
