Yerington, Fernley and Dayton High Schools will be well-represented at the NIAA/U.S. Bank State 3A Wrestling Championships.
The three schools combined to qualify 25 wrestlers for the state meet to be held next Saturday at Spring Creek. The top five wrestlers qualified for state during Saturday's zone meet at Fernley.
Fernley qualified 10 wrestlers, Yerington qualified nine and Dayton qualified six. Three wrestlers were individual champions for Yerington: Kevin Brown (145 pounds), Daniel Lemos (152) and Derek Wellock (171).
As a team, Yerington placed third with 155 points. Spring Creek won with 219.5 points and Lowry placed second at 212. Fernly took fourth at 137.
Brown, Lemos and Wellock all won in the finals by pin. Brown pinned Rite of Passage's Donavan Loneman in the finals.
Lemos pinned Truckee's Ian Wrenn in the finals and Wellock pinned Lowry's Ben Spence in the finals.

130 -- Danny Maguin, Fernley, third; Michael Dixon, Yerington, fourth; John Hurt, Datyon, fifth. 135 -- Steven Novello, Dayton, third; Peter Bischeff, Fernley, fifth. 140 -- Jonathan Ball, Fernley, fourth; Scott Redwine, Dayton, fifth.
145 -- Josh Whitman, Fernley, fourth. 152 -- Ronnie Burton, Fernley, fifth. 160 -- Corey Ryan, Fernley, third; Michael Lanzino, Yerington, fifth. 189 -- Lonnie Hatcher, Fernley, second; Lucas Mudloff, Yerington, third.
