A memorial service for William "Bill" Lee Bertram, 58, a Carson City resident for the past 13 years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church, 326 E. John St.
Mr. Bertram died Feb. 5, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Portland, Ore., to Leland H. and Elizabeth P. Chapin Bertram.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Salem, Ore.
Mr. Bertram was an investigator for the State of Nevada Private Investigator's Licensing Board Office of the Attorney General. He had been an investigator for the State of Oregon Attorney Generals Office in Salem, Ore. and a detective for the Springfield, Ore. Police Department. He also worked at Carson Lanes.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1997 and father in 2000.
Among his survivors are his wife Diane of Carson City; daughters Dana McLean of Ashland, Ore. and Teressa Deschwarnitz of Medford, Ore.; son James Patrick Bertram of Sparta, N.C.; stepdaughters Deanna Marconi of San Francisco and Becky Grayson of Seattle, Wash.; sister Lynn Schoenhoff of Hagerman, Idaho and seven grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
