Obituary: Susan Welch

Susan Welch, 58, a resident of Silver Springs for the past five years, died Feb. 2, 2002, at her home. She was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Wichita, Kan.

Her family moved to Southern California when she was a child. She graduated from Washington High School in 1961.

She married Tom Welch in 1983 in Reno.

Mrs. Welch devoted her life to her family, and her hobbies included traveling, gardening and her grandchildren.

Among her survivors are her husband Thomas; sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Kari Welch and Darin and Lydia Welch, all of Simi Valley, Calif. and sons Tom and Jim McQueen, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters and sons-in-law Lisa and Roger Jackson of Placentia, Calif. and Shelly and Glen Provence of Roseville, Calif. and nine grandchildren.

A private family service will be held.
