Obituary Orlando J. Mercurio

Orlando J. Mercurio, 80, a a Dayton resident for the past 33 years, died Feb. 8, 2002, in Dayton. He was born July 14, 1921, in Altman, Pa., to Donato and Laberta Di Pasio Mercurio.

Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Rochester, N.Y.

Mr. Mercurio served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Catholic. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Among his survivors are his son Daniel of Dayton; daughter Leverta King of Henderson; brother Ernest of Detroit, Mich.; sister Sarah Carlisi of Michigan, Edith Toscano of Modesto, Calif., Gloria Mercurio of South Pasadena, Calif., and Eleanor Lanzarotta of Pasadena, Calif.; grandchildren Tiffany Geromette, Joey Petersen and Gary Geromette and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematoyr.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
