Obituary -- William C. Millar, Jr.

A memorial service for William C. Millar, Jr., 72, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Millar died Feb. 20, 2002, at his home. He was born June 21, 1929, in Chicago, to William C. and Ida Ahlgrim Millar.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Oakdale, Calif.

Mr. Millar was an insurance broker.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Conrad.

Among his survivors are his wife Bonnie of Carson City; sons William C. of Iowa and Kurt and David, both of California; daughters Elizabeth Varaghas and JoAnna Millar, both of California; sister Marilynn Keating of Chicago; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at a later date at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
