A funeral for Leonard A. Kay, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday at Walton's.

Mr. Kay died Dec. 31, 2001, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Westwood, Calif., to George H. and Mary Jane A. Lamson Kay.

He started to work in auto parts in 1942 and worked for Colyear Motor Sales out of San Francisco as a sales representative. He had an auto parts store in Paradise, Calif., and then went back to work as a sales representative for Genuine Parts Co., known as NAPA, and retired in December 1991. He was a High Priest and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carson City Foruth Ward.

Mr. Kay served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Ocean during World War II.

He was preceded in death by brothers George and Arthur and sons Timothy and George.

Among his survivors are his wife Alice; daughters Shirley Ann Orlando and Martha Lynette Kendall of Carson Ciyt; 12 gradnchildren and seven great-grandchildren and sisters Helen Rojas and Jane Morley.

Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
