Joel Clifford Johnson, 82, a Carson City resident, died Dec. 21, 2001, at Mountain View Care Center.
He was born April 16, 1919, in Fort Towson, Okla., to Wylie and Alma Bournes Johnson.
He was a general contractor in Alaska for 20 years, retiring in 1973. He was a rancher in Missouri until 1992.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Lillie Mae Hattensty Johnson and infant son in 1953, second wife Lottie Ray Burnham Johnson in 1993, third wife Blanche OIiver Johnson in 1994, one daughter, one adopted son, three grandsons, one great-grandson, two stepsons, three brothers and one sister.
Among his survivors are his daughters Ladonna Hardeman of Prescott, Ariz., Jeanette Ricker of Carson City, Dianna Johnson of Wasilla, Alaska and Rebecca Pugeda of Chula Vista, Calif.; adopted daughter Sara Bristow of Chula Vista, Calif.; adopted son Walter Johnson of El Cajon, Calif.; stepdaughter Delores Smith of Brandon, Ore.; stepdaughter Judy House of Kingswood, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Armore, Okla.
