San Francisco show on Friday at 11 a.m.

The 60th annual San Francisco Sports and Boat Show opens on Friday and run through Jan. 20 at the Cow Palace. Doors open every day at 11 a.m.

During that 10 days, it is expected to attract about 200,000 attendees.

The show was founded in 1942 during WWII and has earned the title of "California's oldest sports event."

The Fishing Seminar Theater will feature a large number of speakers each day including:

Jan. 11 -- Bill Adelman -- Salmon on the Sacramento River.

Jan. 12 -- Erik Anfinson -- Sturgeon in San Francisco Bay.

Jan. 13 -- Barry Canevaro -- Delta and River Sturgeon.

Jan. 14 -- Wayne Douma -- Trolling for Kokanee.

Jan. 15 -- Diana Canevaro -- Delta Striped Bass.

Jan. 16 -- Marilyn Kern and Frank Miller -- Summer fishing at San Francisco Bay.

Jan. 17 -- Rich Hight -- Eagle Lake Trout.

Jan. 18 -- Jim Robertson -- Ocean salmon on the Outer Limits.

Jan. 19 -- Erik Anfinson -- Pot Luck on San Francisco Bay.

Jan. 20 -- Diana Canevaro -- Four seasons on the Delta.

Among this year's show features are a new fishing tackle retail store, a children's gym, a new paddle sports hall/demo pool and a Hunter, 45-foot, luxury sailboat from Florida.

Admission is $7 and $3.50, with seniors admitted half price on all weekdays.

Adults presenting a current valid fishing license may enter at half price any day.
