Bail was revoked Monday for a Carson City woman accused in a 1999 elderly exploitation case after she allegedly violated bail conditions by entering into a transaction of more than $2,000.
The alleged transactions landed Sami Marcia Louise Donovan in jail again Jan. 10 on suspicion of two counts of felony theft.
She allegedly listed on numerous online auction sites motor homes she didn't have possession of and accepted about $10,000 without delivering the property.
Donovan was awaiting a retrial on two felony charges of elderly abuse and elderly exploitation. She is accused of keeping her charge, Glenell Westphal, 77, high on psychotropic medicines and depriving her of life-saving medications with the intent to take Westphal's money and property. Westphal, a once wealthy woman, is destitute and living in a convalescent center on Medicare.
Donovan and her husband, Gary, are owners of a Westphal's Valley View Drive home, which is in foreclosure.
A hearing on the theft charges is Thursday.
The exploitation case, which ended in a mistrial in April 2001, is set for March.
