A funeral Mass for Edna Faye Rosso, 76, a lifetime Virginia City resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary in the Mountain Catholic Church in Virginia City.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at at St. Mary in the Mountain.
Mrs. Rosso died Jan. 27, 2002, in Virginia City. She was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Martinez, Calif.
She married martin Rosso in June of 1948.
Mrs. Rosso retired from the U.S. Post Office in 1991. She helped organize the Fireman's Children's Christmas Party in Virginia City. She was a member of St. Mary in the Mountain Catholic Church, the Eagles Auxiliary 1006, PTA, Virginia City Alumni Association, Storey County Republican Women and the Storey County Senior Center.
Among her survivors are her husband Martin; daughters and sons-in-law Virginia and Mike Nevin and Margy and Steve Schieberl, all of Virginia City; sisters Lois Murphy of Carson City and Dorothy Cantrell of Middle Town, Calif. and grandchildren Jeff, Keri, Cherie, Kelly and Stacey and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Storey County Fire Department Children's Christmas Fund, P.O. Box 603, Virginia City 89440 or to Vista Care Hospice, 6225 Neil Road, Suite 201, Reno 89502.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
