Carson boys, girls ski teams defeat Reed

The Carson boys and girls ski teams improved to 2-0 with wins against Reed on Tuesday.


Carson's boys routed Reed 89-52 while the girls defeated the Raiders 80-66 in the giant slalom competition.


Carson's boys swept the first four positions, with Danny Rotter winning the race in 29.3 seconds. Other top finishers for the Senators were:


Brett Anderson, second, 30.4; James Reavis, third, 30.5; Vance Harper, fourth, 31.7; Andrew Abbott, 35.0, sixth; and Justin Cordova, seventh, 35.5.


For Carson's girls, Janine Kobler placed first (33.4) and Jackie Nourse took second (33.9). Other top finishers for the Senators were:


Katelynn Bessette, fourth, 34.6; Catarina Farrow, sixth, 35.7; Haley Zook, seventh, 37.2; and Judith Altrogge, ninth, 38.4
