A memorial service for Daniel James Bryant, 26, a Wellington resident for the past five years, will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Center.
Mr. Bryant died July 6, 2002, at Topaz Ranch Estates. He was born Dec. 2, 1975, in California to Dan and Doreen Robinson.
He graduated from Pleasanton High School in Pleasanton, Calif., in 1994.
He worked as a cook in many local establishments and on construction at Kirkwood Ski Resort. He enjoyed snowboarding, cooking and spending time with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Cosie Rumbaugh and Bernita Bryant and grandfather Nick Dirksen.
Among his survivors are his parents of Wellington; brothers Michael Bryant of Gardnerville and Craig and Scott Robinson of Simi Valley, Calif.; aunts and uncles Mike and Carol Gentry of Tracy, Calif., Donna and Jim Warren of Peterson, Iowa, Sally and Larry Bryant of Van Nuys, Calif., and Dennis and Carolyn Rumbaugh of Phillipsburg, Kan.; uncles Dennis Dirksen of Nevada and Russ Dirksen of Downey, Calif.; grandmother Joan Dirksen and numerous nephews.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
