A funeral for Joseph H. Donohue, 83, a Minden resident for the past eight years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Donohue died June 3, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1918, in Baltimore, Md., to John J. and Mary E. Wiessner Donohue.
He married Angela M. Saggese on May 8, 1943.
He completed numerous continuing education courses in the military and as a civilian.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in San Jose, Calif., for 33 years and previously all over the United States and in France.
Mr. Donohue worked as an engineer from 1957 to 1984 and as a water district director from 1982 to 1993. He was a member of several political organizations.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1938 to 1957, fought in Europe during World War II and received the Bronze Star Medal.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jack in the 1970s and brother Michael in 1983.
Among his survivors are his wife Angela of Minden; daughters Patricia Montgomery of Palmdale, Calif., Suzanne Towse of Woodfords, Calif., and Angela Donohue of Hollister, Calif., son Joseph Donohue of Hollister, Calif., and a sister Margaret Gately of Baltimore.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
