Three Storey County men, the victims of a "trick roll," will not be charged for solicitation for prostitution, according to the Reno Police Department.

Favian Gaudencio, 35, Arturo Gonzalez, 34 and Jaime Martinez-Orosco, 36, all of Storey County, were lured to a room at the Sundowner Motel in Reno on Sunday night about 10:15 p.m. by a woman who promised them sex for money, said Sgt. Dave McCauley of the Reno Police Department.

While in the room, two men entered, one of them carrying a handgun. The woman and both men robbed the victims of $940 and left the room.

No one was injured during the robbery.

McCauley said although solicitation of a prostitute is illegal, "robbery is a far more serious crime than prostitution and we don't want to hammer someone for a misdemeanor, making them afraid to report the robbery. We want them to report an armed robbery."

McCauley characterized the incident as a "trick roll," but said despite the frequency of that type of crime, there is nothing to indicate this incident is related to any other incidents in which men are robbed by prostitutes.

The woman is described as a black adult female in her early 20s, approximately 5-feet 4-inches tall, 130 pounds, with long braided hair and last seen wearing a yellow sweater and brown pants.

The man carrying the gun is described as a white male adult, 27 years old, 5-feet 10-inches tall, of muscular build, very short blond hair and last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The second man is described as a black male adult, 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 175 pounds, short black hair and last seen wearing a dark shirt and black pants.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information relating to this crime or the suspects should call the Reno Police Department Robbery Detectives at 334-2188 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward to information to leading to the arrest of these suspects.
