Everyone had personal best times for the Carson Tigersharks at the United States Swimming Speedo Championship Series sectional meet on Saturday in Las Vegas.

"We're semi-happy," said Tigershark coach Jim Puleo about his team's effort.

Tara Theilemann wasn't quite at her best in the 100-yard backstroke where she swam to a time of one minute, 1.33 seconds. But Theilemann came back to swim a personal best time of 5:01.49 in the 500 free preliminaries.

Puleo said he then told Theilemann to go out fast in the finals and she did just that, although she couldn't quite reach her personal time again and finished 15th in 5:02.20.

Justin Barber continued his strong showing in the meet. After going 4:38.08 in the 500 free preliminaries, Barber came back to place 11th in the finals in a personal best of 4:36.27.

Ryan Theilemann also had a personal best of 1:02.81 in the 100 breaststroke.

The meet concludes today with Karen Burke, Andy Sturgess and Tara Theilemann going in the 50 free, Barber and Ryan Theilemann going in the 200 individual medley and Barber going in the 1,650 free.
