Fernley baseball sweeps ROP

Matt Lambeth had a huge day as the Fernley baseball team swept a doubleheader from Rite of Passage.

Fernley beat ROP 13-3 and 16-0. In the nightcap, Lambeth struck out 12 while pitching a one-hit shutout and went 3-for-3 with a double, home run and six RBIs. Brian Reeder was also 3-for-3 with a double.

In the first game, Reeder went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a double, Lambeth had two doubles and Tim Hines went 2-for-2 with a double. Andy Rupley was the winning pitcher.
