The Carson High softball team rebounded from a tough week to win its first two games on Friday at the Reed Tournament.
Carson belted three home runs and Brittany Puzey pitched her second no-hitter of the season as the Senators beat Turlock, Calif. 6-1. Kayla Dunn then was the winning pitcher in a 7-2 victory over San Lorenzo, Calif.
The Senators will finish pool play in the tournament when it plays Fallon at 10 a.m. today.
"We played much better," said Carson coach John Sullivan, whose team was routed by Northern Nevada powers Reno and Douglas this past week.
"Not as many walks and not as many errors. Good competition. It was fun."

Carson scored in the first inning on Bethany Henry's RBI single. In the third, the Senators scored three runs on back-to-back homers, Risi's two-run shot and Dunn's solo shot. Puzey belted her two-run shot in the fourth. Ariandne Gonzalez added a hit for Carson.
