A memorial service for Ellsworth Douglas Brown, 60, a lifelong Western Nevada resident, will be 10 a.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith, 833 N. Edmonds Dr. He died April 30 at his home in Carson City.
Born Nov. 7, 1941, in Reno to Ellsworth W. and Eva Christenson Brown, he was a 1960 graduate of Reno High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Mr. Brown worked for the state of Nevada since 1977.
Mr. Brown was a life member of the North American Fishing Club; he also played Little League, high school rodeo and bowling.
Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Karri L. Couste of Carson City; a son, Cpl. Lawrence W. Brown of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; mother Eva Brown of Reno; sister Sandra Henry of Reno; two granddaughters, one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be by FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
