State and Carson City government offices will be closed Monday for the Memorial Day holiday.
The Carson City Marriage Bureau, 885 E. Musser St., will be open Monday 9-4:30 p.m.
The front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Department will be open. However, there will be no visitation at the Carson City Jail on Memorial Day. There is a regular visitation scheduled Sunday.
The Carson City Senior Citizens Center along with Dayton, Douglas County, Silver Springs, Storey County and Fernley centers will be closed Monday.
In Douglas County in Minden a clerk is on call Monday 9 - 5 p.m. for marriage licenses. For information call 782-9014.
For marriage licenses in Stateline, the Tahoe office is open 9 - 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday at 175 Highway 50. For information call 586-7290. For marriage licenses in Storey County, the clerk's office in Virginia City will be closed Monday as will other county offices.
The marriage bureau and other county offices in Lyon County will be closed.
The Carson City Public Library will be closed Monday. Call 887-2244.
The Douglas County Library will be closed Monday. Call 782-9841.
Schools will be closed for the holiday.
The U.S. Post Office and its retail stations will be closed and except for express mail, mail will not be delivered Memorial Day.
Banks may also close for the holiday weekend; customers are urged to call ahead.
