Services in honor of Memorial Day

-- Fleet Reserve Association Branch and Unit 274 High Sierra Reno, hosts their annual Memorial Day Picnic and Services, 11 a.m. today at Rock Park in Sparks. All active duty, retired military, widows and shipmates of the Fleet Reserve are welcome. Wreath ceremony at 1 p.m. Call 882-9201.

-- Lone Mountain Cemetery Memorial Day service hosted at 1 p.m. Monday includes a wreath-laying ceremony to honor fire and police department members who lost their lives at the World Trade Center in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. -- The American Legion Auxiliary Capital Unit No. 4 of Carson City invites all veterans and their families to the Capital Post No. 4 at the Veterans Memorial Hall at the corner of Second and Curry streets at 9 a.m. for cake and coffee after the 8 a.m. flag ceremony at Lone Mountain Cemetery Monday in remembrance of our veterans for Memorial Day.

-- Marine Corps League Silver State Detachment annual honors ceremony Monday at Virginia City Cemetery at 10 a.m.; Stewart Indian Cemetery at 11 a.m. and Lone Mountain Cemetery at noon. Call 882-7864.
