Donald L. Good, 74, a Carson City resident for the past 32 years, died Nov. 1, 2002, at the VA Medical Center in Reno. He was born April 21, 1928, in North Platte, Neb., to James Good and Elsie Good-Pride.
He attended school in California and Western Nevada Community College.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Chowchilla, Calif., and Atwater, Calif.
He worked for the Department of Prisons for 18 years, retiring in 1988. He previously worked in law enforcement in California.
He was the VAVS representative for the Disabled American Veterans and volunteered at the VA Medical Center.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years.
He was preceded in death by son, James David, and sister, Barbara Hannah.
Among his survivors are: wife Tomi, daughter Janet, son Bob and stepson Roy, all of Carson City; daughter Teri of Hawaii; mother Elsie Pride of Paradise, Calif.; sister Betty Gularte of Winton, Calif.; brothers Jim of Carson City and Richard of Paradise, Calif.; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be in the veterans' section of Lone Mountain Cemetery.
