Obituary: Raymond E. Baxter

Raymond E. Baxter, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died Nov. 12, 2002, at his home. No service is scheduled.

He was born April 10, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Raymond M. and Myrtle Standley Baxter. He married Frankie O'Neill on Dec. 21, 1951, in Northridge, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived at South Lake Tahoe. Mr. Baxter was a surveyor for 37 years. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling with his wife. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Moore Baxter.

Among his survivors are his wife and son, Kent, both of Carson City; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
